Senior RF Design Engineer / Wireless Embedded Systems Engineer

Radiometrix is recognised as the leading global developer of ISM/SRD/MURS band radio modules. We manufacture and design high-quality and cost-effective VHF and UHF radio modules, radio modems and remote control products that cater for the wireless needs of OEMs worldwide. Available on all major frequencies (27, 40, 144, 151, 169, 173, 433, 458, 869 & 915 MHz), we offer a wide variety of radio modules to suit a diverse range of licence-exempt and licencedapplications. The off-the-shelf modules can be customised to meet specific requirements of medical, security, defence, public sector and industrial customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the design, development and support our RF products.
  • Will be involved in more than one project at any one time
  • Multi-tasks appropriately to serve needs of all projects including support for Production.
  • Travelling abroad to visit suppliers, customers and Exhibitions

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Is proficient in full life cycle of RF development and production hand-over
  • Ability to upgrade/redesign existing products if component obsolescence occurred
  • Proficient in discrete component-level to TI, Silicon Labs, Semtech RFIC based designs.
  • Experience in programming Microchip PIC, TI MSP430, ARM Cortex-M families.
  • Advanced knowledge in programming in Assembly, C/C++ language.
  • Ability to design 10/12.5/25kHz Narrowband radio modems with 5W or higher transmit power
  • Experience in designing RF circuits from 27MHz to 2.4GHz
  • Experience in designing for ETSI EN 300 220, EN 300 113, EN 300 086 and FCC Part 90, 95 certification.
  • Experience in SCADA, MODBUS and other industrial communication protocols
  • Ability to design wireless Analogue I/O controllers (0… 20 mA / 4 … 20 mA, 0 … 10VDC)
  • Experience with hardware interfaces such as RS232, RS485, UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, DAC.
  • Experience with FHSS, Mesh networking, IEEE 802.15.4, LoRAWAN, Wireless M-Bus, KNX Electronic design, Schematic capture, PCB layout using Eagle/Easy-PC, etc.
  • Ability to work independently.
